Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the unique location will again host a special tasting to benefit the nonprofit charity that maintains more than two dozen irreplaceable buildings and other treasures of the Old West.
“Visitors come from across the country and all over the world each summer to prowl the boardwalks at Old Trail Town. They get a first-hand look at the authentic history of the Old West,” said Larry Edgar, an Old Trail Town board member.
“We’re delighted to throw a great party for all of our local friends and supporters where they can help us celebrate a great year, and to sample some fantastic wines and great whiskeys,” she said.
The Sept. 10 event will offer samplings of dozens of wines and whiskeys carefully selected by Michele Prevost, of Juniper Wine & Spirits.
“This is a great chance to come out and try some new wines that you might not have had before. And in a tip of the hat to the great setting of Old Trail Town, we want to offer some top-shelf whiskeys, too,”
“The is the best chance all year for Park County folks to try dozens of great new wines in a wonderful setting,” Prevost said. “Let’s not forget all our whiskey fans, either. We’ll have some top-shelf bourbons and Scotches. The Old West cowboys never had it this good.”

“We sure appreciate the support everyone has shown Old Trail Town over the years. Wine, Whiskey & Song has proven to be a fun way to celebrate and help this wonderful place, and help ensure its survival for years to come,” Edgar said.
Proceeds from the event will help fund the ongoing preservation of Old Trail Town, allowing its treasures to be shared with future generations, Edgar said.
